Rainbow Bee Eaters

Watercolour (Requires Framing)

38cm (W) x 29cm (H) x 0.1cm (D)

Signed on the front.

Daniel Smith & Windsor & Newton watercolour painted on Arches cold pressed 300 gsm paper

Rainbow Bee Eaters are nesting in the area where I live. The female burrows into the sand to make her nest. There is sand flying everywhere as these birds dig their burrows. They migrate to the Great Sandy Dessert, as it is cold in the morning they will huddle together on a branch to keep warm.
I love their colours and they look so beautiful squashed together seeking warmth from one another. They are sure to brighten up any wall.

Credit photo to Gaz Meredith, Photographer - with thanks.
